Smoke coming from rear wheel well. Upon cold inspection, it smelled like gear oil. Calipers not leaking. Could see oil splashed along wheel well and on inside of tire. Researched issue. Learned about plugged axle vent being potential cause. When I opened fill hole on differential I heard air sucking in. Clearly not at equilibrium. Removed and replaced axle vent from Autozone for $10.00. Replaced diff fluid. So far so good!

when I changed the fluid I just tapped on the breather to make sure it could spin, looking back on it I should have just replaced it. Guess back underneath the car I go
