Hi, I recently noticed my 2006 GX making a weird crunchy noise from the dash. I’ve read that it could be the Servos. I was playing with the glove box light and presssing on the airbag and it seems to make the same noises I’m hearing.

I’ve attached audio of the noise. The car runs at about 30mph with the noise, I stop at a red light and it’s still on and it stops when I start up again at the green.

 

That sure sounds like a servo hunting.

I had something similar. Once in a while, there were scratching noises that seems to have originated from the dashboard. With the guidance provided by another member here, I replaced all three servo motors and now not a single squeak can be heard.

 

Got some trannys last night a Ka24de tranny and a sr29det tranny with a Ka bellhousing, also ordered the Collins kit, will still need a few parts, but hoping to get it done soon. Here is a pic of both trannys.... they are not pretty. I have my tranny guy coming by to pick them up and rebuild them both. Also going to pull the engine out and reseal it.

 

I think you posted in the wrong model forum. This is for the 1st generation GX, which was never sold with a manual (at least in the US)
