I didn't see an dedicated intro or pics thread, so I figured I would just post up. I've been a, mostly, non owning member of Club Lexus for some years. I joined, originally, a long time ago, when I was looking into 2nd gen IS's. I briefly owned a beater 1994 ES 300 that was very short lived. Well, here I am many, many years later and I have a Lexus, finally. Here's a couple sandy pics of my 2007 GX 470 about half way down Padre Island (headed south from Corpus Christi) on my way to the Mansfield cut. I purchased it from my father a little over 2.5 years ago with 116K on it. I have about 127K on it now. It's got its battle scars (thanks mostly to my sister from when she once long-term "borrowed" it from my dad), but I love it. It was always "my vehicle" when I traveled to visit my family in Denver, so I've had plenty of time behind the wheel over the course of my dad's ownership before I bought it from him. Mechanically, she's a sounds as they come, my father takes vehicle maintenance seriously and the owner before him bought it new where it was originally sold in CT and was maintained by the dealer . He got it right out of warranty back in 2011 or so. No major upgrades, as of yet, may some accessories to come later on down the road, but I'm more of the light off-roading, overland type of person. I changed out the headlight bulbs before I drove it home from Denver with Sylvania ZXE Gold's and regular ZXE's in the fog lamps and then LED's inside and out once I got home. Tires, because everyone posts what they're running, are just stock size Michelin LTX AT2's. Looking forward to being more active, finally, since lurking\being inactive over the decade or so.
I didn't air them down at all. The plan was to get out on the initial part of the drive and see if I felt they needed to be aired down and they just didn't. Even in the deep stuff, it just went through with some throttle and steering input.
