Height control issue
08 GX460 having height control issues, maybe the airbags? Seemed our GX was getting stiff when first driving every day, then eased up. After a long road trip it is now extremely stiff all the time. Will bounce things in the back off the floor. After reading other posts we unhooked battery for ten minutes and then reattached to reset. Pushing the button has no response, doesn’t go up or down. The back seems worse with stiffness but doesn’t sit lower than usual. Not sure if this an airbag issue or electrical. Any advice would be much welcome.
Probably better to ask in GX460 forum. Or you can try GXOR group on FB.
When I had my airbags blown, the vehicle was bouncing very much. Replacing airbags helped. But you probably need to inspect your bags. Regarding the height control that does not go up or down, I had the same after replacing airbags. CPU reset helped.

2008 is the 470 still.
OP - almost certainly this is a bad airbag. Your choices are: Replace with OEM, Replace with aftermarket, Replace with conventional springs.
Using the springs is probably the cheapest, but you will obviously lose the adjustable height feature - which likely only matters if you tow.
Another thing to check - with the key in the run position (but not running), press the "up" rocker to raise the suspension. Listen for the air pump to come on. If it does, you're good and can install replacement airbags. If you don't hear it, it has likely burned out from running constantly, and conventional springs are the most economical way to go.
