He hit you from behind from what I understand he is at fault for failure to control. He shouldn't have been traveling so close. Hope your recovery is quick.
Yea... he’s 100% at fault on this. It’s not at all easy though. I’ve been out of work for 6 weeks and I’ve got 6 more weeks(minimum) to go.
this sitting at home is not for me though. I usually work 7 days a week. So this has changed my life I’m a big way.
like others have mentioned... I’m just glad it wasn’t worse.
I was in need of a vacation... but not like this. Lol
i still haven’t purchased another vehicle. I’m just not in a rush. I would really like to get an FJ Cruiser. But we will see what I can find.
I’m actually leaving all of my upgrades in the GX470. The other insurance company is going to add all the led lighting, WeatherTech rain guards, Bluetooth media, sub, amp, and lc2i to the price.
they are also looking to give me retail value since I had just put brakes, tires, timing belt, and changed all the fluids.
On top of that the layer isn’t taking any of the property damage claim.
so it looks like I’m going to be getting about $13,500 for my 2005 GX470 w/ 218,000 miles on it.
although I’m still not happy. Because everyone here knows how reliable these vehicles are.

For that amount of money you can get a really nice GX with lower miles. FJ is a great vehicle, but I still hope you will end up with a GX

At least you're not getting bent over on the settlement offer, that's a big hurdle out of the way on the road to putting this behind you.

How's the physical recovery coming along?
the recovery is slow... once the property damage settles and I know the extent of how my shoulder will affect me going forward... I then have a long battle with the personal injury/loss of income and future income settlement.
this is not fun. The only upside so far is being able to spend so much time with my wife and son.
