does anyone know the installation depth of the cv axle seals? Specifically the passenger side if it makes a difference.

recall the constant advice was to just start the new seal straight, then just seat the seal the rest of the way using the CV axle. When the CV axle seats, it'll put the seal at the correct depth and avoid leaks.

Of course, your method should work well.
