We've been a vendor here on Club Lexus for quite some time now, 5 years I believe. We specialize in anything automotive lighting related, from Permanent Restoration, custom headlights to LED conversions, you name it. Recently we had a great opportunity to work on a GX headlights. We designed a Projector Retrofit kit to upgrade the low beam projector to the much brighter and sharper Morimoto D2S projectors. You have the option to send in your headlights for services, Permanent Restoration comes standard on new and old/used headlights, which entails installing a protective film to prevent the lenses from turning yellow, dull and cracking in the future, or you can purchase the DIY kit if you think its something you can do on your spare time.
The DIY kit will include instructions on how to install the brackets. If you can take apart a bumper and headlights, you should be able to install this. Some cutting and grinding is involved, which can be done with a Dremel.
Is this the same kit where you can do dual projector retrofits (both high and low proj gets changed)? or only the low beam projector gets changed out with mini morimotos?
For this particular kit, its only the low beam with a bi-xenon Morimoto Mini D2S projector. Meaning it will function as both low and high with the high.
That's definitely something we can design as well, and we already have the measurements since we're designing a Q45 projector for our own GX, with matching gatling style LED hi beam lens.
