Default Flat Rear Suspension

2004 with a flat rear suspension. 200k but runs very well. No check engine light or other symptoms. Read about height/leveling sensor and replaced. Rode like new for 2 months and started all over again. Checked relays, replaced compressor after tapping in side and compressor started. Figured brushes were bad or corroded. While checking out noticed very small leak in right side air bag (ordered 2 new bags today). Problem is intermittent so am wondering if it is the height control selinoids (reservoir assembly) or computer issue. New Compressor does kick on periodically but ride is still horrible. Would change to springs but the vehicle me zero so felt it is worth the money....but starting to get concerned over the aggravation!!! Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

There have been cases where the leak in the bag was hidden by the compressed folds of the rubber, so the leak was intermittent.
Change the bags and see what happens.

It’s the bags! 14 year old rubber...pin holes open and close depending on how inflated they are....

Default Thanks Guys!

Thanks! They will be replaced as soon as they arrive! At this rate I guess there are only two components left the reservoir and computer!

The reservoir usually burns out if airbags continue to leak and it winds up running overtime....so fix quick...I leaned the hard way...

Thanks Alan. That was my concern. When the compressor kicks on the bags inflate but I still have no height control and it rides like timbercart. Why you can’t by the height control valves without the entire tank is beyond me but I did find one for $620 so was thinking about just getting that too. Do everything. At one time thought process.
