Hello all this is my fist post as I just got my first GX this past weekend. Its a 2009 with 98k miles, its in really good shape and got it for a fairly good price because it needed a timing belt job. My question is this, are there anything I should be particularly on the lookout for? I have read about the problems with the air suspension going bad and the o-ring(or something like that) on the transfer case actuator. How common of a problem are these things and what can I do to make sure I get the most miles of those parts! Thanks!

 

i think the transfer case design changed by 09 so it may not be a problem, after 10 years be on the look out for sagging suspension....replace air bags before compressor burns out trying to compensate for the leak....or just maybe be proactive and change them out sometime next year...they will go eventually so save the compressor cost. my procrastination cost me and extra $500 on my 04.....i have an 09 now....have learned alot....
