Right Height Sensor
I have 2005 Lexus GX470. a few weeks ago the ride height sensor was not working and the back of the car keeps bottoming out and very rough ride. We had trouble codes stored in the system, for the ride height sensor which I thought was definitely causing the issues. We installed the (NEW) driver rear sensor and the height air compressor that was not putting out the signs, and adjusted it to match the other passenger rear sensor and now wont air up but the code is gone.
We can command the solenoids on and off and hear them I would not think that they are at fault. All fuses and relays are good and transferring power both via test light and scan tool commanding them on and off.
So the compressor and sensor are not functioning at all. It acts like the computer us not allowing it to air up because it is waiting for a sensor to say it needs air or something but it just sits there.
Any help would be appreciated.

Jeepers, at least 1 suspension post every few day...the truck is 13 years old.. the air suspension bags are made of rubber....they leak when hey get old and cracked. It’s not the height sensors, it’s not the compressor, unless it has been working overtime to inflate leaky airbags....time for new airbags or coil spring alternative

We have no air leaking and the bags were firm as in they had pressure inside them. We can't even select ride height or cycle the compressor on right now from inside the vehicle with The factory controls
Is it possible that the solenoid valve that allows air to flow from the tank to the bags could fail mechanically and yet make an audible click when commanded with the scan tool?

ya, been there done it....those air bags have a leak somewhere...when fully inflated the hole may close, slight decrease in pressure and the air comes out...if they are fully inflated, why is the rear sagging?

You were right. Brought the Lexus to my mechanic and the air bags have holes in them and dry rotted and hold no air. The right rear air bag does not hold any air at all and has many leaks. The left rear bag holds some air but cant see high enough to see. But we are going to replace that the do the shocks as well. The GX470 has 174K miles on it and they have not been replaced. Any idea if the suspension conversion kit with Springs would be a good option? i know its cheaper but I heard the quality of the rise will change dramatically.
