Smile Tires for your GX

Just a heads up, Jeep Rubicon tires fit the GX470 with no modifications needed.
The BF Goodrich 225/75/17 T/A K/M that come on these Jeeps are some of the best rated off road tires out there and are easily obtainable as many jeep owners swap out rims and tires as their first mod. A quick craigslist search yields tons of sets for sale usually with the rims and TPMS. I bought a set of 5 for $900, had the tires mounted and sold the rims separately.
Truck looks and handles great .

Hopefully you mistyped the tread width. 225 is a dangerously thin contact patch on a vehicle with already questionable pavement handling. I'm guessing you mean 255.

I will never own BFG's again due to the well-known weather crack problem with their tread compound. I've had 5 sets of BFG's that didn't last 2 years each due to rapid onset of severe cracks. Hopefully you live in a climate that won't cause the tires to crack, and be careful in the corners with the narrower tires.

Thumbs up

Thanks for catching that, yes they are 255 wide. The vehicle lost some of the squishiness of the ride it had on the Michellins that where on it before and feels a little more solid on the road now.
