Default Rear wiper arm replacement

I have had to replace my rear wiper arm. I got the old one off with a little nudging.
I have a new one to put on, it doesn't want to nudge on. I've tried a socket and tapping with a hammer over the stem, but to no avail. I don't really want to use the nut to pull it on, it would probably strip. So, any ideas how to put it on?? Thanks

Post the part number. Also, check the part number on the packaging against what is (may-be) molded into the wiper arm, in case there was a mix-up at the factory.

The numbers on the arm are PET-GF45 0621-7
The OEM replacement # showed to be 85241-60110.
I got it from Bell Lexus in Scottsdale Az.

That's the part number I see online too.

Make sure you have it oriented correctly. With the arm removed, turn the rear wiper on and off for one cycle to ensure the motor is in the parked position, then try putting the arm on there -- it parks at the 9 o'clock position.

How hard was it to remove the old arm?

Default Rear wiper arm replacement

It was stuck. I WD 40ed it. I used an open end on the backside to "gently" pry it off.
I cleaned the post of dirt and some corrosion. It appeared to be at the nine o clock when I tried to reinstall it.
I will try cycling it and re-aligning it tomorrow.
Thanks for the tips.
I will let you know....

Somehow, at the base where attaches was broken. I can only guess how it happened.... When I used the wiper, I noticed it wasn't cleaning like it used to. The way it broke left a piece because it was under the cap.
I think when I have my vehicle serviced, I will forego the complimentary wash job. It may have got jerked back by hand or water pressure. And of course the age and exposure could have weakened it.
