New glass installed yesterday and I am back on the road.

Now I need to get the windshield replaced.

 

If you don't mind - what was the final cost?

$387 plus $10 to have them come to my house and do it. Looks great, can't even tell the difference.

Same shop wants $247 for the windshield.

 

I have a 2004 RX 330 and the same thing happened to me. Last week I walked out to my car after work and saw to very large holes in my rear hatch window. I called the police because it looked like a break in. It turned out that nothing was missing so officer said that it had to have happened on its own. My company even checked the parking lot video tape and saw nothing out of the ordinary.

Had it replace at Safelite. It was the weirdest thing. I wondering if it was a defect.

 

I have a broken rear window. Can you tell me what company replaced it. My glass company said it was a dealer item. Thank you

 

Like mine when my truck got the windshield broken. Call your insurance company first and let them know that to see if they will cover your case. If yes, tell them you want the OEM one. When you want to replace with the OEM they will contact and send you to the Safelife. Hope this helps!
