Default 2004 gx 470

Let me introduce myself .Ii am a forum member and current owner of a 2005 sc430 and a 2010 es 350. I am considering a 2004 gx 470 loaded with every option nav dvd entertainment 3 seat all the amenites. its a dealer trade in 2 owner car The car fax is clear maitenance appears to be done milage is 88,000.00 Dealer put on new brakes front and rear two new front tires rears are 80 %. There is no warranty other then 30 days 1000 miles, The timing belt has not been done Dealer asked 19.999,00 lowered price to 17.999. Is this a fair price car was detailed leather seats look very very good no accidents a few small scratches but other then that it looks good its white in color ecru interior. I am concerned about the 9 years age and the mileage of 88,000 regarding the timing belt water pump and tensioner. What is the forums opinion of the timing belt . Do you think the price is fair or should i push for a timing belt being included. They did lower the price $ 2000,00 I dont know if they would agree on the timing belt. Opinions welcome I really need some sound advice, According to KBB the price is good.

Thank You

Please respond I am going to test drive it saturday

I think the price of $18k is fair. I paid more for a 2005 with 60k. If this is a Lexus dealer, I would negotiate some kind of deal with the timing belt and 90k service. I would want to have that done and out of the way before I drove off the lot. Try for $18.5K including the 90k service completed, including TB, water pump, etc.

Good luck.

I made the deal for 18,600.00 inc the T/B water pump tensioner. They had done the 90,000 service but did not do the T/B . I also bought the three year 36,000.00 mile lexus plat extened warranty 0 deductable
I did not feel comfortable with out the warranty The 30 day 1000 mile warranty they gave with the purchase only covered the drivetrain. I figured a car thats 9 years old and 88,000 miles I should make the investment for the warranty.

Thanks for your input I really appreciate it.

Congratulations on your new GX. Sounds like you made a fair deal. Post a pic when you get a chance.
