I voted for the QX56, even though I may not run out and buy one. I think the new style is one of those love it / hate it things. Personally, I don't like the styling of the new LX. It keeps remininding me of the movie Preditor, where the Alien takes off his helmet and it's mouth is shaped like the new grille in the LX. Looked inside of a new Landcruiser yesterday, since that has been my dream. Pretty bland, compared to the LX. Every one that loves auto's, has that natural dreaming of what it might be like to own something else. I keep coming back to the first generation GX. It is retro, yet classy styling. Just the right size for me, if mine only had KDSS, I would have my Landcruiser. I have had mine for a year and a half. Had initial things fixed at the dealer, but now it is just change the oil and drive it, most of the time with the radio off, it is so quiet.

You said it, the interior of the GX460 is also a step backward, seems like there is less visibility as well. I do like the exterior of the new Land Cruiser though. I would defiantly go Land Cruiser over LX if I had to choose, GX470 is still my favorite all around.

 

i had a GX470 and loved it....we outgrew it and went with an LX.570...couldn't be happier with it.

Thank you for your great observation. Must be Lexus' way of more aggressive look.

 

We downsized from a QX56 and had owened a LX previously, I can definitely feel the loss of interior space. It all boils down to balance on what is practical at the stage of your life. Back in 03', when we first looked at GX we thought it felt tight inside. All 3 are excellent SUVs but for now the GX makes perfect sense for us.

 

I vote for GX470 with QX56 wheels

GX or LX both are made in Japan and are super reliable, GX and LX true 4x4's, QX not so., QX made in the US and not so reliable. My question to those of you who went to BMW's, why did you buy a real 4x4 like the GX and move to a crossover like the X5. Why not buy a Highlander?

If money were no object, I'd take the LX easily. I love the GX470's styling though. Whenever my step-dad lets me drive it, it attracts a ton of attention.

If money were an issue, the GX would be my choice. I liked the QX as well but GX was more impressive to me.
