Just did mine using this thread without pictures. It is quite easy to remove the seat heater switches by prying up with your fingers, I had to do the center different lock button next to them as well.

Bought the replacement LED at Radioshack (Had to go to three stores to find it, Radioshacks are far and few now.) Cost of the package of two was $ 4.25. Install about 20 mins.

I do have a question on my 2007 and others does AC115V and RSCA, and the Dial for brightness are they all suppose to be backlit? I know the defrost for mirrors is because its working. That panel is easy to get to because you can pull out the fuse panel, then push out the RSCA button or button you are working on etc.

Thanks Micky T! I went out there and the RSCA just needed a good tap, for now anyway. Same fix for the 115v button as the seat heater. Pretty easy to get to removing the fuse panel plastic and then pushing the button out. Didn't have to unhook it from the harness to access the bulb (side closest to the steering wheel.) The dial for brightness was in there pretty good or I would have pulled it out. Sounds like no need to now so greatly appreciated!

Glad I found this thread. I just purchased a 2004 GX470 (and joined this forum) and plan to make this fix in the near future.

I got mine up but not far enough it seems. I will try again but The wires seem to be holding it in place. It only came up about 1 inch. Any suggestions.

I had to take all the panels to get the wires unclipped. I removed the cupholder first, then the center and side pieces, unscrew both the shifter *****, then the panel that holds the switches for the seat warmer. I was able to use the bulb in it's holder in the switch for the seat heater. It was so much easier then finding a new bulb to assemble. I still have two more spares in the air suspension, ride control/shock adjuster assembly.

My left seat heater switch backlight is intermittent. It just takes a little tap to get it to work, but pretty annoying. I've noticed that my mirror adjustment arrows, dimmer switch, 'height control' text, and 12v/120w cig lighter do not light up either.

What is really supposed to be lit up??

Should cig lighter and 'height control' text light up?

Should mirror switch and dimmer switch light up?

Is the 115 bulb the same as the seat heater? Anybody figure out a cheaper way to get these? Partsouq shipping is nuts.

$2 a piece. Better replace them all while you’re at it. The contrast will be very apparent.
