cold air intake

Default cold air intake

is it worth the costs to install a cold air intake from k&n or volant in terms of fuel efficiency and power gain

im using k&n intake and i love it! my wife loves it too!!

i personally dont care much about the fuel efficiency, its v8 SUV afterall. power gain hmm i think i feel the difference around 3rd gear, if u drive local a lot...then its gonna hurt on the fuel efficiency.

just came back from san francisco this past weekend, avg about 19.6 mpg. 6 hrs trip.

months before, no intake yet, avg about 20.2mpg to vegas 4 hrs trip.

4runner V8 guys that have dyno'd theirs showed a 15hp improvement. My buttometer says that is about right.
