Default Which Trailer Wiring Kit?

Wanted to get people's opinion on which trailer wiring kit.

OEM Lexus as provided by Smitty or this CURT 59146 wiring kit?

With the OEM Lexus kit, I'd have to get the fuses and the wiring harness which will run about $300.

For the CURT 59146 wiring kit I'd have to splice into my existing rear tail-lights but the kit is only $30.

Has anyone have any experience with the CUR wiring kit?

Thanks,

Ken

Have you checked to see that you don't have the wiring in place already? I added an aftermarket hitch to our GX and the wiring was already there.

I just bought a brake controller along with the factory wiring harness jumper from etrailer.com, I think they might have the wiring kit to get you from the hitch to ethe dash. http://www.etrailer.com/t1-2003_Lexus_GX470.htm
