Default Different type of window issue after HID install

I installed my HID kit last week (15min). Next day I notice that I can only roll my drivers window down. Tried the button on all four doors but the only one that works out of the whole car is the drivers button on the drivers door. Yes I did unhook the battery but I read other guys could still roll them down. Also I my "Maintenance Required" light is now on. I have no clue what it could mean (use to BMW's warning lights). Annnnnddd those stinkin' front signals have a mind of there own. Sometimes the work , most of the time they don't. Also my rear left side brake light goes out when I hit the brakes. The running light will be on but when I brake it goes out. Yeah a couple little issues, none are real serious but I gotta get them taken care of. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

- windows need reinitialized (because of battery disconnect)... details in manual or search here - simple procedure

- Maint required most likely just be a simple oil change. can have codes read for free at Autozone or most parts stores...

- sounds like you have a short or a burnt out bulb somewhere in the system w/ the erratic behavior of lights (front and rear). Start by checking the bulbs or temporarily reinstalling halogen bulbs and see if symptoms persist...

ok thanks, I figured it needed an oil change about now. But the signal and rear brake light problem have been goin on ever sense I have bought the thing about three months ago. I think I'm just gonna replace them and go from there, thanks.

not to be an *** but why did you disconnect the battery? there really is no need to. i did my highs, lows, and fogs all with the battery connected.

I take it that these weren't slim ballast? A slim ballast would have made it between the battery and side wall.
