Default In a Jam (D___ Door Problem)

Whats up, I hope no one has had this problem but if you have I would appreciate any advice. I don't know if it had anything to do with the problem but had to get new key made by dealer and after that the locks started to act up. The other day my daughter came home and said the driver door would not open. I looked at it and could not unlock it with remote or key. I climbed in the other side and the lock was frozen, being hard headed I tried to force it and it popped, moves great now but does nothing. The door is closed so I think panel removal is out of the question. Has anyone used a slim jim tool on these cars or some other trick to open the door and do you think it is the actuator? Plus whatever I broke with my impatientness.

Just try to replace the battery from the Key transmitter, probably time to replace, this does happen when the battery is low. You can replace these cells from the Clock/Watch Repair guys, Ensure to replace the same type Serial type CR1616 Lithium Battery ( 2 nos)

I'm having the same exact problem on my 93 gs.. been debating on whether or not to let the dealer mess with it. Please let me know if the battery solution worked.. I'm pretty sure my only key is not the original/master key.

It would astound me if after what the dealer charged me to cut the key and replace plastic housing ($100.00+) that they would not replace the battery. But it is worth a try, and I will let you know if it works. Thanks

Ok, just replaced the battery and that was not it. It was kind of a long shot since all the other doors were opening, but it was worth a try. I guess I could fire up the Blow Torch, on second thought that may be a little extreme, but I am getting to that point. It is a pain in the *** climbing over the center console when there is not even a good time on the other side, not to mention I'm not that young anymore (Hotel room better option).
