Question Ipod integration into 2006 GX

My GX has the standard radio. No Nav or ML. Has anyone replaced the radio/cd unit with an aftermarket unit? I am just a little reluctant to spend $250 for a unit to integrate the IPOD when there are some many Receiver units you could buy for cheaper than $250 that have IPod integration or for that matter spend more than $250 and really upgrade. Any ideas on upgrading or quality IPOD integration? I have tried the FM transmitters. They are not the quality I am looking for. How about a whole new head unit? Thanks,

I know it's kind of a cheapo solution, but I use a cassette adapter to listen to my iPod in my GX...it usually costs less than $20, and the sound really is actually pretty good if you keep the volume on the iPod at about a little over halfway and use the car's amplifier to turn up the music/mess with bass, treble and such.

I used the USA Spec adaptor made specificly for our head units. It works great. Allows the head unit to control the iPod/iPhone, or you can use the iPod/iPhone directly. It also charges while it's connected. I just removed this to install an aftermarket nav system. If you'd like to buy it, just drop me a line. I used it for less than 2 weeks.

regards,

These the same for the rx330? I have for that car and it works well if you install the steering controls.
