A/C not as cool
so ive noticed that the A/C takes a while to get cold and even then its not as cold as it used to be. could it be a freon issue. It just started doing it a few days ago. I have a 2008 GX with 19K miles.
Start the engine and run the A/C. Open the hood and look at the little sight glass that's built in the refrigerant line -- if I recall correctly, it's right in front of the radiator somewhere near the hood latch. If you see tiny bubbles in the clear liquid refrigerant flowing past the sight glass, it is low. If there are no bubbles (it'll be so clear that you won't even be able to tell there's any liquid flowing through), it most likely means that the reduced cooling is not due to low refrigerant.
