Price and availability. Price because 70+ for a 570 a lot, and 470 are hard to come by. Not only that, but now that i know all the issues of the lx, the cracked manifold, rust issues, starter issues, we wish to move to something else, i don't know if the gx will have these same issues, but its smaller size is also nice, but don't get me wrong, the lx, even our 2001 with 110k miles, is one heck of a truck, so smooth, quiet, refined, and well put together, even handles pretty well, steering nicely weigther. Sorry bout going off topic haha, but that the main reason we going for a gx over a used lx470

I wonder if there is a huge difference between the next-gen GX and the current GX. And I hope the next-gen won't look like the leaked pictures of the new Toyota Prado, it doesn't look that rugged to me.

lose the 80's cassette deck and do something cool like SDHC ports,
add some more 12v plugs
find a way to make the 3rd row fold flat into the floor
HIDs
ability to control rear air from front
power rear windows (the cargo wings)

I hope the new GX is better than the LX. The MB GL is soo much classier looking than the LX. The LX looks like a body builder on steroids. And what is with the chrome door handles? Is this a Cadillac? Give me back the monochromatic door handles.
