We have a 2004 GX470, the rear end of the vehicle remains in the high position and will not lower. We took it to the dealer today and they indicated it needed a new left height sensor. They showed me the sensor and it's a spring inside the sensor, which has corrosion and has broken off. Two questions; first, does anyone know of a less expensive source to find the part and second, can the part just be rebuilt? Thanks

 

Had mine replaced under warranty in my '04 so not sure how $$ the part costs. Might be rebuildable but again do not know. IIRC, someone recently DIY R&R theirs so try a search as I think they gave pricing and details.
