2004, 150k miles, and I'm sure I paid too much. I purchased from a Lexus dealer which had reconditioned it and had its entire service history with them.

My wife's MDX is our new-ish car for road trips and such. I wanted something with no car payment I could use just around town.

 

@alan, hilarious. i also went outside at 2 am when it dawned on me what you were saying and i realized my gx didn't have inter's. i felt like a dumba$$ for sure standing there in the driveway in my underwear coming to that clarity

 

Aside from the low MPGs they make great, comfortable (and safe) utility vehicles.

 

Late to the forum but I just got a 2004 GX with 155,000 miles. awesome truck!

 

Wipers on auto since I've had the vehicle. Wonderful accessory IMO

 

I found this on the RX400H thread, and it does work on my 2003 GX470. Instructions appear simple enough, but exact timing is the key to getting this to work.

Automatic door locking and unlocking functions

AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCKING
You can select the following functions:
- Locking linked with the shift position
All doors are automatically locked when the selector lever
is moved out of “P” position.

- Locking linked with vehicle speed
All doors are automatically locked when the vehicle speed
goes above about 20 km/h (12 mph).

You can set or cancel the automatic door locking
functions:

Be sure to apply the parking brake when performing the following operations.

To select the locking linked with the shift position:
1. Close all doors and turn the ignition switch to the “ON”
position.
2. Shift the selector lever to the “P” position.
3. Within 10 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the “ON”
position, press and hold the driver’s side power door lock
switch in the lock position for 5 seconds and then release.
The doors will be locked and unlocked to indicate that the
function is set.


To cancel the function, do the above operation again.


To select the locking linked with the vehicle speed:
1. Close all doors and turn the ignition switch to the “ON”
position.
2. Shift the selector lever from “P” to the ”N” position.
3. Within 10 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the “ON”
position, press and hold the driver’s side power door lock

removed.

- Unlocking linked with the shift position
All doors are automatically unlocked when the selector lever
is moved to “P” position.
You can set or cancel the automatic door unlocking

How do we make ALL doors unlock with ONE press of the unlock button on the remote?

Here's a no-charge pro tip - the GX absolutely dominates wintertime snow.

Locked the center diff and put it into 4Lo today with new Michelin MTX S2 Defender tires... snow be damned, we were motoring.

(Truth be told, everyone with AWD / 4WD was happily motoring around town before the plows made their presence known... but, let's not snow on the GX's parade.)

 

Unfortunately that has to be done at a dealer. Requires their programming tool. But at least there is a setting for it, even if it costs us $100 for dealer to change it lol.
