I went to BB yesterday and I found a bluetooth transmitter for ipod. I have a navigation with bluetooth on my GX. Do you think it will work? When I bought my GX they don't have the ipod integration yet not like my IS. I want to install the VAIS but I'm afraid that it will void my warranty. Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL.

 

I saw a similar solution at Costco for about $75 or so. It works using FM transmission, much like some of the other older solutions. I've tried out FM solutions before, sometimes there are transmission interruptions, so you have to put up with that now and then. I don't know if the tech has gotten better or not.. I am tempted to also try the FM transmitter because it is a lot cheaper than installing the VAIS.

I had the same thing, I was going to get the fm transmitter but I have heard that sometimes it does some interruptions. So I got the cassette that has a wire that you can plug into the ipod very easy and sheap you can buy it from walmart the sound is very good. I also use it with the ipod touch. Glad that the Gx has a cassette player so does my BMW.

You don't hear that every day. In fact, I'm not sure I've heard that in the last five or so years - it's always the opposite.

Get the Vais. Works great and recommended to me by my dealer. If their cars don't come with Lexus XM, they send them to a shop down the road for Vais. YMMV.
