Hi everybody,
the other day while my wife was driving our 05 GX, I noticed that the lights that are in the climate control bottons are blinking sometimes. I've never noticed this because usually I don't look there when i m driving. I don't know if anybody noticed this. Please observe this while you are in the passenger seat because you don't want to drive and keep looking there.
Also does anyone know a website where you can buy nice accessories for the GX

I have a 2006 GX and I too have seen the lights (climate, audio, etc.) blink on occasion. It doesn't do it very often and usually only when I turn the engine off and still listening to music, but I've also seen it blink when stopped at a stop sign/light. But again it doesn't happen very often, but still frustrating when it does.

 

I have noticed as well - more like a flicker once in a while. I have tried to figure out when it does this and seems mostly when dark enough for lights to go on. Anyway told my service rep about it and he just said don't worry about it and they have never had these things fail. I've stopped noticing it now.

 

It happens when you have your headlights on and you step on the break. I think it will blink twice or three times. It used to drive me nuts. No clue why this is happening. My dealer said that there are no bulletins describing the symptoms, so the problem is in my head I guess. Useless bunch of a.......

 

Lexus has had my 2008 GX470 for about a total of month trying to resolve what was jokingly referred to as the disco lights. The climate control lights flicker a lot on my GX. Two engineers from Japan were brought in and were basically clueless on how to repair this problem. Everything has been replaced with no change. I am waiting to see if they will offer to buy back the car or at the minimum make one of the payments. Glad to see others have the same issue.

Thanks for the replies guys. I tried to do several things like turn on and off the head lights, the break, the reverse lights, and the lights inside the car and some of these stuf makes the lights of the climate control dim a little bit but I think this is normal. but the blinking occurs when the car is running at normal driving conditions, and because i am so freacking picky I always look at them and lately they are not doing it anymore I guess i will stop doing that so i wont run over a stoping car in front of me like my wife did several months ago. But I will mention that to the dealer at my next visit.

 

did they change the unit? because I think if there is a problem behind that it should be in the climat control box itself.

 

I only noticed it in the climate control bottons the audio and the navigation's are fine. but you said when you turn the car off that happens maybe because you are loading the power on the battery
