Default Rear hatch door will not open

Anyone else have this happen? Wife took the truck to the store the other day for groceries.....came home, unlocked the rear door with the fob as usual. We went out later to the store, tried to get in to the rear door, and it would not unlock. So,she took it to the dealer, asked for a loaner, and off to work she went. They called late in the day and said they had to order a part.Just wondering if anyone has had this happen.Truck has 53k on it.

On a side note, they gave her an IS as a loaner.I took it out for a drive, but man,the car is small. Both of us felt stuffed in there. My wife is 5'9 pushing 320. The paddle shifters were cool to use though.

We picked up the truck today. They replaced the cable assembly and also washed the truck. Bill was $350 covered under warranty.

Lol...Not one comment about my wife pushing 320 pounds? You guys are too nice! By the way,it was a joke.

All right, I admit I was trying to figure out how your wife fit in the IS and was trying to envision it and the idiots that lent it to her!

When we were shopping for our last vehicle, I looked longingly at the IS, but 6' tall hubby (nowhere near 300 lbs.) didn't fit. We bought the RX350, but I asked for an IS when getting service. He refused to even squeeze in the front seat, but sat crosswise in the back - I myself at 5'5" fit OK but felt a bit stuffy and like I could feel every pebble the car went over. Definitely a good thing we did not buy that car!
