I'm looking into a 98-2000 Land Cruiser or GX / LX. They are a couple thousand dollars difference at best. Seems to be around 10-13000.

What are the differences between these models/years. Any other words of wisdom?

This would be a winter vehicle and a car towing rig (2600lb car and flatbed trailer)

 

The GX wasnt introduce until 2003. The LX is basically a Land cruiser with more goodies.

 

Both are great rigs it depends on what your needs are.
LX is bigger, heaver feeling and less mpg.
GX is smaller, lighter more up to date and better mpg. Also handles better.
But both are nice.
