Approximate value 2004 gx470
Hey guys I am selling a GX470 for my brother....and this is not a for sale thread...just wondering approximate value that can be expected on this vehicle.
It is a 2004 with 37k on it and it is the light blue/gray color with a tan interior. Does not have DVD or Nav, but it is immaculate with brand new factory wheels and tires.
What do you guys think it can bring or should be a fair asking price.
thanks in advance

In the Los Angeles area, dealers are selling 45 to 50 thousand mile cars for $28 to $30. I would say that $26 to $27 would be about right. I hate to say it, but the used pricing has fallen like a rock lately.
Looking at Kelly Blue Book, my GX has lost $4K since Aug 07. $3.50 a gallon gas has really hurt the prices.
Even if you only got $25 for it, it is still 50 percent of what it cost 4 years ago. That really is not too bad.
I am in the same boat as you are, don't like it, but that is the market in my area.

Autotrader.com and carmax.com will give a big sampling of other GX's for sale, that way he'll know what he's competing against and can set a competitive price. On the plus side he's got fairly low mileage and one of the most popular colors, on the down side he's got no nav/ml (which is a must have feature IMO) and he's competing against Lexus dealers that can offer the CPO 100k warranty (which is another must have for many buyers).
thank for the responses guys. I have blue booked it and have been looking at comparable vehicles for sale. The gx is pretty rare around here believe it or not and I am hoping to sell it for around 30k. Might be a bit of a stretch but the truck really is immaculate and hard to believe no ML/nav/or DVD but what can you do i guess. It does have 3rd row seating.
