Default TOYO Proxes ST's

Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone has tried the TOYO Proxes ST's on their GX470.
The size that is the right overall Diameter is the 285 60 17. It would be a little wider but exactly the same height so the speedo will be accurate.
The suggested rim width is 8" and of course the rim width is 7.5" on the stock wheel. But my local tire guy said this will create a real minimal donut ( bulge problem ). I have tried the Proxes ST on my Toyota Highlander and love the look and ride of the tire.

Appreciate any feedback.

Mike from Vancouver, BC Canada

Great minds think alike!
See my post from last week.

I did this on my wifes RX. She had 235/55/18 and I got her Toyo's 255/50/18. They look and handle great. A bit more road noise as they are sticker and do grip and throw gravel etc.

Let us know if you try them. I think the GX needs a wider tire

my friend has them on his toyota tacoma and it rides very smoothly and the noise was not bad at all compare to his old michellan tires. I was thinking about getting them for my gx too but my tires still look brand new...eventhought it was been 4 years.
