Default Will other TPMS sensors work?

Will older GX 470 and 4runner TPMS sensors work on a 2008 GX?
I am looking for a used set of wheels to make into dedicated snows.
I have a few to look at but want to make sure the sensors will work on a 08.

Thanks

Hi jditom
Do you have a source for the TPMS monitors? I already have the factory wheels from an 03 GX (before the TPMS was added), but don't have the monitors - and don't want to pay dealer prices for brand new ones. If you have any info to share on how to get the monitors, I would really appreciate it!

Bob,
I was looking at an older set of GX wheels with sensors. Have you tried 4runner sensors? They should be cheeper?

Anyone know what is involved in "programming in" the new TPMS sensors? Seems like something someone should be able to do themself no? Getting ready to buy new rims myself and thinking of either getting them with preinstalled TPMS sensors or getting mine yanked from my stock wheels so I will have to do this soon one way or another.

I believe both Toyota and Lexus use Pacific brand TPMS. You should be able to use Toyota TPMS. Just make sure you write down the serial numbers from the new sensors. Most of the time, the dealers will ask you for the serial so they can program them.
