Default Can the Nav on 07 be programmed. when moving?

My 2006 IS250 has factory nav. It's relatively easy to program the nav when moving by using the Menu - Volume - top left - top right, etc. work around that I read about on this Forum.

However, the work around does not work on my wife's GX470. Has anyone figured out a work around for the GX? Sure is a pain not being able to use it without stopping (specially with a second person in the car).

Totally agree. I also have to admit I thought my nav was broken because the Dest screen would enable/disable at seemingly random times while in stop/go traffic. Turns out it disables itself when you move. I felt a bit silly that it took me so long to figure this out.

You do know that the 07 GX nav system has voice recognition, even while in motion? Works pretty well on my GX.
