I have had my 06 GX for 2 months now and for the first 6 weeks or so I never noticed the suspension air compressor run. Now in the last 2 weeks, it comes on almost everytime I drive the car and is fairly noisy, the load hasn't changed etc. Just wondering if this is normal or if something has gone wrong. I assume that if the weight in the back doesn't change, then the suspension should never need to adjust the height unless there is a leak that is letting the truck lower or something while sitting.

I can hear the air bleed out when I shut off my GX, but I cant hear the compressor at all when I start up the car or while driving.

 

My GX adjust up and down everytime I get out of it when i shut it off.

 

same as G Man - had it for 5 months now - just hear the hissing sound when car is shut down...

 

If I start up the car and stand outside, I can barely hear the compressor, but that's about it.

 

I've noticed that if I have some weight in the back and or a couple of adult passengers in the back, my GX will adjust more when everyone exits the vehicle than it does if it is just me. Does the suspension self level?

 

Yes the rear suspension self level when in auto mode.
