Default Towing

How does the GX perform when towing? I just bought a 4,000 lb boat and plan on trailering it with the GX. I am looking for feedback from those that have towed with their truck and how it handled.

Towing is excellent w/the GX. We have a 22 1/2 ft boat on a double axle trailer and the GX does great. We used to tow the same boat w/a '97 Expedition and that did fine. The GX has so much more pulling power and feels just as stable in towing and braking as the larger Expedition. The air suspension works great in keeping the GX level and I switch the ride control from comfort to sport when towing the boat. The rear camera also makes lining up the ball and the hitch a breeze.

Couldn't be happier.

Default great

I bought the GX specificly to tow my 21 foot lead slide. As steevr said the truck performs very well; my trailer is a double axle also. Hooking up with the reverse camera is nice too. I would guess my loaded weight to be very close to 5000 lbs.

P.S. The other vechile I tow with is a Ford Sport Trac while it handles well on the road it has struggled on "chitter" ramps. I never had a problem with the GX on the same ramps.
