Default HID upgrade require projector adjustment?

I recently installed HIDs in my GX and noticed that they don't seem to illuminate street signs as well as my X5. Has anyone who installed HIDs found the need to adjust their projectors? If so, what's the most accurate way to aim my projectors?

Hi Rap,

My installed kit from XenonDepot was spot on no adjustment necessary at all. I had the 6500K "slight" blueish tint. According to their website and my experience, no adjustment is needed. That said, each and every car's light/beam pattern is different and it maybe just that the GX's beam pattern doesn't hit the street signs the way your X5 does, however, it IS a VAST improvement from the standard issue GX Halogens. Light years away!!!!

Just my .02 cents!!!

I agree that the HIDs are a big improvement, (see pic) can you guess which is the HID? hint pass____r side. Still want to tweak my projectors to give me everything I want. By the way I have the 5000k HIDs, not from xenondepot.

Hi Rap,

Did you get a seperate RELAY for the Xenon kit? As I understand it, the Xenon kits (doesn't matter which brand) draws a LOT of extra power, and will put a heavy strain on the stock RELAYS...?

Looking good!!!

yes, I'm running 2 seperate relays (1 for each ballast) that hook directly up to the battery.
I'm using bosch relays that I bought off ebay and wired everything myself. I found the wiring to be fairly straight forward, but I am somewhat familiar with electronics.
