Default Protective clear cover/overlay for Lexus Navigation Screen?

Just wondering if anyone out there happens to know of or use a protective clear covering or overlay over their navigation screen. A friend of mine owns the LX 470 and was inquiring about whether such a protective overlay exists or can be made. I have the GX 470 and assume that if any such protective covering exists, that it would fit both the GX 470 and LX 470 navigation screens--assuming all Lexus navigation screens are the same size. My friend does not want a protective overlay that is permanent and cannot be removed. He also does not want a messy sticker that is difficult to remove and will leave a sticky substance on the screen if removed. He is seeking something that can come on and off as desired and keeps fingerprints off the screen itself. Any advice appreciated.

I've been seeing these on EBAY, on the fence about this though, don't know if I should buy it or not. I have MANY, MANY electronic devices and I have yet to find a screen protector I like, but for a 50K plus machine, maybe I'll bite the bullet and "protect" this investment. My pet peeves with ALL screen protectors is that it cuts down visbility and to some extent brightness....

Default Why?

I use my screen alot and a soft cloth with some alcohol free cleaner brings it right back to new.

I bought some Fellowes WriteRight PDA screen protectors for about $4.00 a 6 pack. I have used them on everything from my cell phone screen to lcd display screen on my digital camera. They work great, stay on good, and do not leave any sticky residue when removed. They only seem to cut down the brightness by about 10% (my guess). Unless you find a larger size you will have to piece a couple of them together for the Nav screen. Give it a shot, you can always use them on other things if you don't like it on the Nav...

I use Strong engineering (dot com)'s products on both my TL and GX NAVI screens (2 different sized peices so separate part numbers). They work well and don't restrict visibility.
