Sorry, dumb question here. How do you install the new version, ie. do you just slip it in the DVD player?

Thanks

Turn on the ignition key. Move the passenger seat forward. Then from behind and underneath the passenger seat, you will see the NAV unit. Push on a button, the DVD will come out. Remove it and insert the update. It will automatically go in and install the new software.

So, to date, I've have attempted to install both a 3.2 and a 3.1 disc in my 2003 GX. Neither one works. I don't get it. Perhaps there are different 3.1 discs (different part numbers)? That would be really stupid...

Excellent question. Funny thing is that lyxxsx1 says he is using the 3.1 disc in his 2003 GX. That lead me to think that there might be different discs labeled 3.1? I'll try to post the part number information of this 3.1 disc so that maybe lyxxsx1 can compare to his?

Of course, another possibility is that this disc I have is bad though it looks fine, without any damage at all.

I also think the difference is the part number. Same version, different part number.

Here is a picture of the 3.1 disc that doesn't work in my 2003 GX. Can a 2003 GX owner that has updated from the standard 2.1 disc to a 3.1 disc compare this part number to theirs?

Thanks!

This is version .04 just released November 2004.

Now...where the heck can we get this for less than the $250 they want
