Talking JapanParts

I have ordered the taillights from Japanparts.com. They state they will arrive in about 15 days. The total cost including shipping was right at $420.00. I can give you the direct email to the salesperson if needed!! I will post some pictures when they arrive!!

I've seen that pic in which you posted before. You can see that those taillights (mostly red) are different than the clear taillights being sold on japanparts. I was asking if anyone has or is aware of a gx with the clear taillights. thanks.

Strat.....

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I thought that all Prado lights were the same.

[QUOTE=Capirato] Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I thought that all Prado lights were the same ./QUOTE]

Judging from the pictures at the Toyota Japan site (see, e.g., http://toyota.jp/Showroom/All_toyota...s/ex03_svg.jpg ), the mostly red taillamp is factory spec. I guess the mostly clear one is a third-party customization.

Does anyone know if either is completely legal in the US?

Hmmm..... COMPLETELY legal.... AS opposed to "partially"?

You may be confusing the clear lights as these.

I mean, isn't there some law that says that rear taillights must include an orange turn indicator light?

I'm glad you posted that picture because I thought there were two choices: a mostly red choice (as on the stock Japanese Prado), and a mostly clear choice (as in the pic posted by SoonerDude). But your pic shows there's a mostly grey one as well. Are the grey and clear ones distinctly different? Or did SoonerBoy somewhat fuzzy pic only look clear even though it was really mostly grey? You also posted a pic of Euro Spec lights (that I don't personally like too much), which I guess is yet another option.

Maybe someone who has a better clue than I do could outline what the choices are...at least the ones available from JapanParts. Is it clear or it is grey or are there both?
