Can't be done, like trying to turn on the rear DVD screen from the front. I have no idea why, both would make lots of sense.

But come on... I should still be able to at least turn the air/heat on & off from the front... I could do that in my 96 Ford Explorer !! Plus this is becomes a major hassle if you a driving with a small child in the rear who can't even reach the lower console mounted controls from their carseat !

It's an easy reach with my right hand to access the climate controls at the rear of the center console. It's certainly no excuse for not having dash mounted or screen touch controls though. There aren't that many things there and it doesn't take much to remember the layout.

True.. problem is, if you've never had cause to be a passenger in the back seats, you may never really take the time to memorize the layout.. and if you don't remember the last setting it was on, you actually have to reach back to feel if any air is even coming out of the rear vents... all rather distracting while driving... to me at least.
