Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I'm Franky from, as you guessed it, NY. I 'm the proud owner of a blizzard pearl over charcoal '04 GX purchased in late May. A have a couple of questions, and also need an opinion.
1) How does the GX measure tire pressure? and is there a sensor on the wheel itself?
2)Does anyone know what the specs are for our wheels, bolt pat., offset, etc... I'm considering either chrome oem, or maybe aftermarket 20's. When upgrading tire size, does the tire pressure sensor, and stability / abs still perform correctly? Also wheres a good place to look for aftermarket wheels?
Now for the opinion, Blizzard white pearl, In my opinion is a nice paint job and a nice color to look at, but after about 8 coats of Zaino I still have a problem with elements staining the paint. I was wondering if anyone else, has been having this problem? I guess thats it for now! Thanks in advance. Happy motoring!

congrats on the new addition.

the GX is 6x139.7mm, standard offset, but large center bore (4.25"). as long as you do not change your overall tire size (there is a small percent of variation that is still ok), all systems will work fine. there's tons of websites to look for wheels. personally, i do all of my searching on-line and then buy them through a local tire place.

my GX is blizzard pearl as well. i haven't had problems with staining, but i wash it at least once a week year-round.

Thanks for the response alli ! I wash my GX atleast once a week, I think its just the tree in front. I performed some mods to the tree (removing some limbs) but I'm not finished, more mods to the tree in the future! By the way, your Gx looks great with those 22's!

Just keep your 4 tires the same size and kind and generally just look at rims or wheels that would go on a GM truck cause they have the same offset,

I wonder if the GX can be lifted cause them I can fit 24's on it

Great choice on the paint color! I too have paint stains on the front, mostly from bugs this summer. I also wash every week and use Zaino's, but that does not seem to help. The stains seem to get less noticable each week so I guess it is just on the surface and will not cause any permant problems. The bigger issue seems to be with rock chips on the windshield, I have had 2 chips filled in the past 4 months and I am very careful with not driving behind trucks etc..

I had weird paint stains or discoloration under the paint, seems it was moisture that got stuck in the paint and just needed some sunlight and heat and it went away all perfect now and the same color
