Default spoiler question

i have the rear spoiler installed on my GX. it was supposed to be an OEM one, but i think i ended up with an aftermarket. either way, i'm getting serious condensation in the 3rd brakelight on the spoiler. the first time i noticed it was when i hand washed back in march. i brought it in, they replaced the light assembly. then, last weekend i'm hand washing again and condensation again! i brought it down to the dealership and they're going to replace the assembly again. they told me that i'm the first (and only) person that they've sold a GX to that has had this problem. has anyone here experienced this???

The dealer put mine on and I have not had any problems. It sounds like a seal may be broken or maybe there is a hairline crack somewhere on the lense or on the spoiler itself. The dealer should be able to fix or replace it. Is water getting into the back door? Have you checked the tool kit area?

the spoiler and the light assembly are two separate pieces. and the light assembly is completely sealed, but that's where the water is. they are at a loss for what's going on b/c it's happened twice now. you know, first time you figure it's just a coincidence, second time they're looking for a problem that maybe no one else has noticed yet. i also happen to be almost 6'1", so when i'm standing behind the truck the spoiler is right at my eye height which is probably how i noticed so quickly.

Doesn't sound good! I wash mine just about every weekend and actually just washed it yesterday. I will check tonight to see if there is any water in it. I also was in some heavy rain most of the day on Saturday so if it leaks I probably would see water in the lense. I am really picky when I wash it and have not noticed anything out of the ordinary.
