Default 3rd Row Seats

Does the 3rd row seat of the GX offer less space than the 3rd row of the LX? I've heard from so many people that the GX 3rd row is too small to be of practical use. However, we were recently in an Arabian desert off-roading in a Land Cruiser, and the 3rd row in that truck was just fine for my wife and her friend.

If the 3rd row space on the LX and GX is comparable, then it doesnt seem like it would be a problem for us. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Practically speaking, neither one of those rear seat legroom figures is sufficient for an adult (with a full complement of limbs) so figure it is a leather package shelf or for the smaller children.

Cool, thanks for the info!

My wife is only 5' tall, and she was reasonably comfortable in the LX-sized 3rd row seats even while off-roading. I guess we'll have to see if the GX's slightly smaller size makes a difference for her during a test drive.

I have 3 children, and my prior vehicle was an LX and my current is a GX. My 11 year old son (41/2 ft tall) had just enough leg room in the LX to fit. The GX's third seat is now only inhabitable for my 6 year old daughter. The few inches really make a difference and the seat also sets very close to the floor. Kids only.

It ends up being one additional adult seat for us. As one adult can sit sideways in a bind.
