Troubleshooting Center Differential problems
Has anyone found a good reference for troubleshooting the center differential. I have tried the usual places Youtube and Google but most of them just focus on replacing the actuator. I already tried that and it didnt fix the blinking light/no engagement problem I am experiencing.
I have the FSM but I cannot find any organized step by step way to troubleshoot this system. Anyone who might have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

What's the specific problem? Can't go into low range, or can't lock the differential?
You probably already know this, but for changing ranges you need to be stopped and with the transmission in neutral. It will buzz a little bit but a firm shift should be all that's needed.
For locking/unlocking the diff, you should be in gear and moving slowly with no torque being applied (coasting basically)
Chip H.

This is the specific problem from the original post: "I already tried that and it didn't fix the blinking light/no engagement (center diff) problem I am experiencing."
The center diff will not engage, whether in low or hi moving slowly or standstill in neutral or not. I have tried it all. At this point it has to be either a sensor or electrical problem, but the possibilities are overwhelming. Just hoped that someone on this forum might have experienced something similar. I have the FSM but it gives no clear troubleshooting guidance. Just looking for a good starting point.
