I’m looking to get some advice on pricing my 2005 GX470 with KDSS. It’s in pretty good condition with 185,000 miles. I was only offered 2500 on trade so I have decided to sell it myself. The car is well maintained but I did have to have the frame professionally repaired because of rust. It passed PA inspection after the repair at the same shop that failed it. I’ve sold cars myself before so I’m familiar with the process. I’ve owned this for the last 17 years and have all the maintenance records. Tires, brakes, rotors were replaced last year. I flushed the KDSS fluid myself a few years ago. I want to price the car fairly but not simply give it away either.
I was recently wondering the value of mine also. I have a 2005 with 220,000 miles. I’ve owned it about 15 years (since 70 K miles) and have cared for it very well, mechanically. My estimate is about a $10,000 asking price for private sale based on comps from sites like cars.com.
For mine the timing belt has been done twice, on schedule as well as the radiator replaced as preventative at about 150,000 miles. So structurally a strong vehicle. The only real mods on mine are Beilstein shocks all around with a slight lift, and replaced the running boards with sliders.
