Bluetooth question
My 2006 GX470 emits a tone about one minute after starting the car. At the same time the radio/nav screen displays the message "Bluetooth connection failed". I know the vehicle did not come with BT and that someone must have added a device that the radio/nav system works with in order to show the message. I've held various BT devices near the the dash and none have connected, so I'm not sure what is going on. The disc unit in the glovebox is intact. Any thoughts on if there is a BT unit in the vehicle or not and if so, any ideas on 1)how to get it to work or 2)how to turn off the tone and message. Thanks
they did have BT, not sure what year it started….it just doesn’t connect, you have to go to the pairing setting on the nav screen and then on the phone. If the screen says failed to connect…guess what? It has BT.
If you have the Nav head unit, you should have BT. My 2005 did and went through the same issue you note: 1 minute then beeping about BT connection failure.
I want to say I had to go through the 'phone' section of the nav interface. I'll see if I can find specific instructions if you can't find them online.
