Default Window switch related battery drain

I have a 2004 GX that is nearly perfect except a 300ma battery drain that deadens the battery if not driven for 3 or 4 days.

I traced it back to the master window switch…if I disconnect/reconnect the battery and disconnect the master window switch, the battery drain drops from the normal 300ma to an acceptable 25ma. When I reconnect the master window switch, the draw sits at 135ma.

I have pulled the drivers door panel and disconnected everything as well as disconnected the window switch at the other three doors and the draw mentioned above is unchanged.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Do you know anyone else with a GX470 that you could borrow their master switch for testing to confirm that's the issue? That or buy a master switch and see if it resolves the problem.

I’m having the same problem. I bought the window controller from Amazon twice with no luck. Has any one bought the original part from OEM?

I have replaced the master window switch and still have the issue. I believe the master window switch, when connected, could be linking another faulty component (where the faulty component only receives power through the master window switch).

any ideas?

You might have some luck connecting a techstream system to it and running some of the diagnostics? If you have access to that, it might be worth a try.
