Default The best tip/trick/diy/diagnostic tool ever

The other day I was on amazon just searching around checking things out looking for deals then if found it. The most awesome tip/trick/diy tool ever. It is a copy of toyota techstream(latest version) and a usb adapter that you can use to plug into the obd connector. I was a little hesitant to order it but i took the plunge. Shipping was fast and when it came in the mail it was like an early christmas. Installed the software on my computer, plugged it into the car and SHA-ZAM within 5 minutes i was turning off seatbelt chimes, checking real time Oxygen sensor data, looking at intermittent wiper timing, setting door lock preferences, ect..ect..ect.. it is probably going to take me months to figure everything out but it is definitely a most own you too can get all of this for the one time payment of...wait for it...wait for it...

$27.39

I bought mine off eBay for $23. Took about 2 weeks to be delivered though. Great for changing personalized settings.

So you're saying I can use this to turn off my DRL's? Sure beats driving 170 miles to San Diego if so!

Yes. This can be changed with this tool.

I'll probably never have to visit the dealership again. You can even use this to program new keys (not used keys though, those need a reseed which involves getting some numbers from the dealership).

I would guess so. I've never had to use it to register tire pressure sensors so I'm not 100% sure what all that entails.

Here's a link to someone using it on their FR-S.

Mine looks pretty much identical to this except my "System Selection Menu" has about twice as many options including hybrid systems, etc.

Does this void any warranties or cause any other things to randomly shut off. My car is far out of warranty but sometimes these things are dangerous and just cause more problems unless sold by actual Toyota/lLexus Dealer

ebay listings say it only works for 32-bit windows, so yeah... be prepared to have to run a virtual machine unless you've got an old laptop around.

Downloaded the actual program here: http://download.cnet.com/Techstream-...ml?tag=mncol;1

Works fine on my machine which has Win7, 32 bit.

Just waiting on the usb cable.
