Ok so although I thought I understood, I just read a thread about the DRL and parking lights and i'm amazed didnt know the DRL's are part of the highbeams and now I need to mod this so the parking lights are LEDs. so they are 194 does anybody know any good leds that will be bright and at the same time be white with a hint of blue, dont want the full blue color. Your help is appreciated.

 

I installed 194 360 LED bulbs just now and it looks nice. A bit on a blue side but I'm ok with it.

I got it off ebay. I got a few spare ones. Let me know if you want it.

I completely shut my DRL's off. I can't stand em.

^ when you are inside the car you dont' even see them. Not sure why you can't stand it. LOL but anyway, mine is off too. I turn on my headlight when I want. But usually I have ON the parking lights.

All the mods I've seen for highbeam/DRL reduce it's functionality but doesn't improve much on look.

Only change I did was the little parking light inside the DRL housing.
OEM in the Left and LED in the right both ON at the same time.

 

My driver side led will blink sometimes and read what causes it somewhere but haven't real felt like dealing with it yet. For you Guys who turned off the drl's, how did the dealership act when asked? My dealership isn't very up with mods. They didn't know the Gs had f sport Matt's even.

 

Which LED did you purchase from. That looks good.

 

My dealship said NO to turning DRL off, they said its a safety issue and they would have to notify insurance etc etc. I said never MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I even ran for about 30mins with highbeam ON and it survive the heat from the highbeam bulb.

switch it to OFF or I think the parking light also turn off the DRL.

I want something brighter for the puddle light. I've been looking into the super bright LED... the one giving out +200 lumen.

 

Yeah, I know but I don't like the look of them from the outside. That's like saying "Why did you get wheels? You can't see them when you're inside the car.

It's not a 'mod'. It's a LPS. It's in the Customize group when using Techstream.

Oh please. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard! If you were local, I'd do it for you for free!

Nope, you need Techstream to get to the Customized settings. DRLs run whenever your ignition is on and your headlights are off. Once you turn your headlights on, the DRL's shut off.

 

no you can't see them inside the car but when you turn the car off and leave your wheel don't turn off, so you SEE them.

And when you head back you SEE them again. When you don't see them wheels that's when you have a problem. :lol:

 

I would take the picture, but its pointless, you will not be able to see the true color in the picture.

Id say its very cold white with a hint of blue. Not too bad.
