Default Just changed out the projector lenses..

Guys, I did a little research and ultimately have just completed a diy mod where I changed the lenses of my projectors and oh what a major difference.. It always made me wonder why the hell our headlights werent bright enough and didnt have that distinct line in which tsx or honda s2k's have when those headlights light up the ground.. Below is the link to what it was i picked up. I must say that the 6k bulbs looks so much better.. However, dont expect a complete transformation of light output by replacing the lense.. One of the main issues with our headlights is the design of the projector unit itself.. because it is a side mount bulb, the reflecting bowl design does not allow for maximum output as you would expect compared to a bmw or lex rx330.. for any diyer's out there, this is definitely worth a weekend project and also, the lenses itself isnt even too bad.. took me about 3 hours to complete and I also buffed the healdight lenses as well to make it more clear.. Just thought id share with you all..

Does AFS still work OK with this retrofit?

Did you have to open the headlight? Bake it?

yep baked it and opened it up... very easy to do.. trust me... also, you dont even have to take the projector itself out of the housing.. the shroud is attached by 2 tabs to the projector.. just detach that and you will see 2 screws holding the lense housing onto the projector.. unscrew that and voila!! watch out however, those screws are in TIGHT!! i ended up stripping a bolt so i just drilled right through it and used a ziptie to get it back together... 250 degrees and 10 minutes or so in the oven.. i just removed the bulbs and that was it..
